Korua Pencil Snowboard

The One Board Quiver

One of our favorite brands, Korua makes some pretty specialized snowboards, but the Pencil might be the one we'd recommend to the rider who wants one board that can do just about everything.

The Pencil blends a directional shape, tapered profile, early rise nose, and camber underfoot into a board that feels at home almost anywhere. It has enough float for powder days, enough edge hold to carve groomers, and enough versatility to handle trees, chop, and backcountry laps without feeling like you're riding the wrong board.

The pointed nose gives it plenty of surface area up front while helping it stay composed when the snow gets deep or chopped up. The slight swallowtail keeps the tail loose and makes the board easy to release at the end of a turn.

Shop Take

At Milosport, we think of the Pencil as the Do It All Deck in the Korua lineup.

It's the board we'd point you toward if you don't want a quiver full of snowboards and still want that unmistakable Korua ride. It sits in a really sweet spot between a traditional all mountain board and a dedicated powder shape.

The Pencil feels surprisingly quick edge to edge for its size, and the tapered shape makes tight trees and technical terrain much easier to navigate. When you open it up, there's plenty of stability and drive to keep things interesting.

And when the storm rolls in? That's where the pointed nose and swallowtail really start earning their keep.

If you're looking for one snowboard to ride most days of the season, the Pencil is one of our first picks.

Milo Highlights

  • Float Camber Profile — Early rise in the nose gives the Pencil plenty of lift in powder while camber underfoot provides grip and stability on hardpack

  • Pointed Nose — Plenty of surface area for float while helping the board stay composed through chop and variable snow

  • Slight Swallowtail — Lets the tail release easily at the end of a turn and naturally sink in softer snow

  • Tapered Shape — A wider nose and narrower tail give the Pencil a nimble feel without sacrificing stability at speed

  • One Board Quiver — A versatile shape that can handle resort riding, powder, trees, carving, and backcountry days
